A tasty motherfuckin’ burger
That’s where it’s at for Fat Puku's.
The creation of two burger-loving 80s kids raised on old-school hip hop, sneakers and cult American movies.
Along the way we learned one thing evokes the America of that era like no other.
The smashed burger.
It’s the original classic, born in Joe’s Diners and roadside burger joints across the west coast of the States. Simple, real and tastes like an American dream.
Once you’ve had a genuine smashed burger, nothing else cuts it. The only problem was they weren’t that easy to come by in New Zealand.
Until Fat Puku's happened, that is.
We are New Zealand’s first true smashed burger aficionados. We don’t care about gimmicks or stunt burgers. We do the real thing the real way.
Fat Puku's burgers start with a big ball of our signature top quality beef and the largest spatula we can find. Then, with the heat up high and the beats on loud, we smash it on the griddle and get to work.
Our grilling is thrilling, giving you crispy frills around the outside, tender taste in the middle and every patty comes out unique. You could drive all 50 states and still not find one the same.
It also means fresh as buns and a sprinkling of quality real ingredients.
That’s what it takes to create a classic. And we have.
Try a Fat Puku's burger today. Your cult American classic, right here in Aotearoa.
At Fat Puku’s Smashed Burgers we are proud to be doing what we can for the environment. This is why we’ve teamed up with the homies @innocentpackaging for all our packaging. From our burger boxes, paper bags and napkins, all are made from plants, meaning that disposing of them does not harm the environment.
